Jagiellonian University in Kraków
August 8-13, 2016, Kraków, Poland

Conference venue

The venue of the conference has been slightly changed! We moved 60 meters to the south-west, to the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science across the street. This DOES NOT change your commute from city center. Please check the updated map below. The address now reads: ul. prof. Stanisława Łojasiewicza 11. The lectures will start on Monday morning, and will end on Saturday afternoon.

The conference venue is approximately a 30 minutes ride from the city center (direction: Czerwone Maki, stop: Norymberska). There is a convenient and regular bus (no. 194) and tram (no. 52) service running to the university campus — see the map. You can find all the necessary information about Krakow public transport and ticket fees here. There is also a search engine that will help you get around the city, available here. This website will also tell you how to reach the city center from the airport.

The city offers a large number of hotels of all categories. If you wish to make a hotel room reservation for yourself, please note that August is a peak season and Krakow is a popular tourist destination. Therefore, we suggest to reserve as soon as possible. A convenient – and attractive – location for your stay could be the Old Town, because of a very good connection with the conference venue. You can find a handy hotel search engine here.

You can also get a glimpse of Krakow’s tourist attractions at Magical Krakow official website. A busy schedule of concerts, festivals and art events will appear there as the summer approaches.
